Principal's Bio

Welcome to Oneonta Elementary School Principal's web page.  My name is Mr. P. Ed Parrish, Jr.  I have been in the education field for thirty-two years the last twenty have been in Oneonta. I taught p.e and history and coached all sports  the first thirteen years and have served as elementary principal for the past seven . My wife, Sherry and I have been married for ten years and live at Heritage Golf. Sherry is the Customer Service Manager at Royal Cup Coffee, Inc., and she has been working there for twenty-two years. We are both avid football fans and love all sports. Of course, I am an avid Auburn Tiger fan and she is for that team down the road. "WAR EAGLE". I enjoy traveling, playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

I am originally from Selma, AL. and have lived in Oneonta since 1989.  I earned a BS in HPER from Auburn University, Administrative Degree from the University of Alabama, and a Masters Degree from Alabama State.
